The Ratings For Our Walking and Hiking Tours

Before you book a walking tour, it’s important to understand how challenging it is likely to be.

If you are not particularly fit, struggling to complete a “Moderate to Challenging” walk is likely to take the enjoyment out of your experience. Similarly, if you are used to hiking regularly and want to push yourself with an active adventure, the leisurely pace of an Easy walk may not be right for you.

But what do labels like ‘Easy’, ‘Moderate’, and ‘Challenging’ mean?  Don’t worry, that’s what our rating system is here to explain. Read the descriptions to understand how we’ve categorized our walks depending on distance, terrain, and elevation.

Of course, on any walk, some sections will be more manageable than others, and factors such as the weather can impact the level of difficulty, but generally, this is what you can expect from our walks.
